Make sure that you’re au fait with roundabouts before booking your driving test at Kingstanding. There are two very close to the test centre and it’s very likely that you will negotiate at least one of them during your test. There are lots of quieter residential streets surrounding the test centre, which will be great to practise on with your driving instructor.

There are some car parking spaces available for learner drivers, but the space is quite limited. Be prepared that you may need to park elsewhere if it is busy.
There are male and female toilets available to learners at the Kingstanding test centre.
This test centre will provide accessible and disability arrangements should you need them. Our tip is to make sure you call ahead well before your test to be sure that they will be able to cater for you.
In the past Birmingham has been lambasted for having very low driving test pass rates and it’s even made an appearance in the top 10 worst places for passing your test. The 2017-2018 driving test pass rate for Kingstanding test centre was 36.9%.

To book a test at Kingstanding Test Centre, you’ll need to contact the DVSA - you can do so by phone on 0300 200 1122 or online. You can also use these details to cancel or reschedule your driving test. As long as you give at least three working days’ notice, you’ll be eligible for a full refund or to reschedule at no extra cost.
