Learning to drive in Harrow

Harrow is an ideal place to learn to drive, because of the variety you’ll find there. From quiet residential roads to busy town streets, winding country lanes and speedy A roads, you’ve got it all!

When you’re starting out, it’s a good idea to keep to the peaceful suburbs. If you can find somewhere near you to practise then that’s always a plus, but if you’re stuck for ideas then try Dudley Road and the surrounding area. There’s plenty of space there to perfect your control of the car and pack in some practice on those manoeuvres too!

Driving test centre locations

It’s important to get practising on the routes that could come up in your practical driving test. Your instructor will introduce you to the routes, but make sure you’re putting in the hours between lessons as well!

Manual and automatic driving lessons

It’s your choice because we offer both in Harrow.

Take your time to decide whether you would like to take manual or automatic lessons. While an automatic licence qualifies you to drive an automatic car, a manual licence qualifies you to drive both manual and automatic cars. Automatic lessons are pricier too, as there are fewer instructors. There are pros to learning automatic as well though, for example it usually takes less time to learn as there’s less to get your head around.
