We’ve got your back if learning to drive in Glasgow is what you’re after.
As the largest city in Scotland (and third largest in the UK), learners in Glasgow will have heavy traffic and busy junctions to contend with. But don’t forget that learning to drive in Glasgow will have you well prepared to tackle these city streets safely once you’ve passed your test.
If you’re new to life on the road, stick to quiet residential areas to start with. If you’re stuck for ideas, head to the Pollokshields area. The wide, quiet streets around Maxwell Park are just made for learners, as long as you don’t hit them during the busy school rush!
Our top-rated instructors have got Glasgow covered from top to toe! Some of our most popular areas include:
Balornock, Bridgeton, Craigend, Dennistoun, Drumchapel, Hillhead, Kelvindale, Knightswood, Lambshill, Milton, Parkhead, Partick, Possilpark, Ruchill, Scotstoun, Shawlands, Shuttleston, Springburn.

Once you’re getting used to being behind the wheel, your instructor will help you to pick a driving test centre. It’s important that you get plenty of practise on the routes that could come up in your practical driving test, and your instructor will make sure that you’re learning the right routes.
We get that manual lessons aren’t for everyone, so we also offer automatic lessons in Glasgow.
Make sure that you think about which type of licence you’d like before taking lessons. A manual licence allows you to drive both manual and automatic cars, but an automatic licence only allows you to drive automatic cars. Still, there’s a bit less to get your head round if you’re taking automatic lessons, so you might pass faster. Just bear in mind that automatic lessons tend to be pricier as there are fewer instructors around.
We’ve helped over 300,000 learners to pass their driving test. Why not take a look at some of the lovely things they say about us?
