Learning to drive in Walsall

There is a great opportunity to learn and practice a lot of driving skills in and around Walsall, from dual carriageways, motorways, quiet residential areas and of course the busy town centre. The Chuckery has lots of residential areas which will be well suited to the newer learner and there will be plenty of space to practice steering and manoeuvring a car.

Our top tip for more advanced drivers is to have a lesson on the A4148 and either go down the Wolverhampton Road to get onto the M6 at the large roundabout to practice a variety of skills. Don’t forget to use many of the rural areas surrounding Walsall to get some winding country road experience too!

Manual and automatic driving lessons

In Walsall you can learn with either a automatic or manual driving instructors!

Now you’re ready to get on the road, have you thought about what type of car you’d like to learn in? There are various perks to each style of transmission, some people prefer the ease of learning in an automatic compared to the slightly more complex manual car, but lessons can cost a little more and the instructors get booked up a lot quicker compared to manual instructors. It’s also important to note that once you qualify as an automatic driver, you will only be able to drive an automatic car, compared to a qualified manual driver. But whatever you decide is best for you, we will have an instructor to help you get that all-important pass!
