Learning to drive in Coventry

Surrounded by dual carriageways and residential areas, Coventry is a great place for driving lessons. You can’t expect much less from the home of The British Transport Museum, and ex-capital of Britain’s motor industry!

The bustling city with its complex road structure can seem daunting for a newbie - learning how to negotiate the busy ring-road that surrounds the City Centre can be tricky, but don’t let that put you off! Anything Coventry throws your way, you’ll be sure to manage with our helpful and highly rated driving instructors!

When it comes to avoiding rush hour traffic, driving instructors know all the best locations to head to. Suburban areas such as Canley, Spon End and Wyken are all ideal locations. Kirby Corner Road near the University of Warwick is also a popular option for new drivers to practise their skills. Other quiet areas include Whitley and Walsgrave-on-Sowe.

When putting in some practice with friends or family outside of your driving lessons, definitely take advantage of the nearby residential areas to ensure you’re test-ready. Busy neighbourhoods and shopping districts such as Earlsdon and Cannon Park are great areas to practise once you’ve got the basics of driving under your belt. Before you know it you’ll have aced your practical driving test and will be cruising down the City Centre like a pro!

Manual and automatic driving lessons

manual or Automatic automatic driving lessons in Coventry!

No two people are alike, so it stands to reason that people want to learn how to drive in different vehicles.

Make sure you’re happy with your final decision before making a booking though. Remember that by choosing automatic you can only drive automatic cars, but with manual you can drive both once you pass your test - plus lessons tend to be cheaper!

It’ll be a breeze-driving with a manual car in quieter areas such as Canley, but when driving around busier areas like the City Centre an automatic car could be easier. Automatics are a little easier to learn on but generally come with an added cost per lesson due to there being fewer available instructors.
